While leaving a popular bookstore recently with my children, my oldest son said, "One day these stores will be gone." I hope he is wrong.
There is nothing like the touch and feel of a good book that you carefully selected because it drew you in. The library is wonderful too of course. But for me, I like to own my books for a time, gift them later, or donate them.
Books sit on my tables around my house and in my office as a reminder of what I want to learn more about. What I am struggling with at the moment. Or even what issues my clients are navigating. Other times, it is what's calling my attention politically, emotionally, spiritually, and where I want to grow. Other times, they are just pleasure. Pure pleasure. I commit to sharing with you what is on my nightstand or coffee table with regularity.
What I'm Reading
"I have known Tracy close to 20 years in capacities that have grown from client to student to supervisee and to peer. She is a expert clinician with sharp judgement, solid assessment skills and a caring, compassionate presence for her clients."
